Georges Cornet
Born on 11 May 1949, Georges Cornet holds a Mechanical civil engineer’s degree and an MBA from the Louvain University (UCL), in Belgium.
In 1973 he starts his career with Belgonucleaire, becoming its General Manager in 1991 and its Managing Director in 1999.
In 2000, he joins ENDEL as Deputy General Manager and becomes Managing General Director of ELYO in 2002. Three years later he is appointed Deputy General Manager in charge of the General Secretariat of SES.
Georges Cornet has held or still holds positions as Vice Chairman of the Board of Belgatom, Director of the Belgian Nuclear Forum, President of the Belgian Nuclear Society, and as a member of the Board of Agoria, the Belgian employers’ organization.
Since May 2006, Georges Cornet is Chief Executive Officer of Tractebel Engineering.
