Luc Resteigne
In 1984, Luc Resteigne obtained a master degree in nuclear engineering at the University of Liège (Belgium). His education has been later completed by two post-graduate diplomas in business management and international trade.
Luc Resteigne started his career in the Nuclear Core and Fuel section of Tractebel Engineering (TE) in 1985 and was in charge of the design of the core reloads for the unit 3 of Tihange NPP as well as nuclear fuel design review.
In 1994, he became project manager in the Nuclear Department. He managed several projects including the project introducing MOX fuel in Doel 3 and Tihange 2.
In 1996, he moved to the Thermal Power Department of TE. He was in charge of combined cycle and coal fired plants projects (due diligence, owner’s engineer) in China, Singapore, Peru and Thailand. Afterwards he was project manager for a turnkey project in France (cogeneration). In 2005, he became the Product Manager for Thermal Power activities of TE.
In 2006, he developed the consultancy business of TE in the gas field (LNG, gas transportation and gas storage) as Product Manager Gas.
Since July 2007, Luc has been in charge of the Nuclear business unit (yearly turnover: 80 M€ - 400 people) of Tractebel Engineering (GDF SUEZ). This business unit delivers multi-disciplinary engineering solutions to GDF SUEZ entities and to other customers in the nuclear field.
In January 2012, Luc took over the CCS business sector from Christian Pierlot.
