CCS TLM combines Tractebel Engineering’s global reach and credentials for engineering expertise together with a team with unmatchable CCS experience in one, independent company. CEO, Paul Bryant, has himself spent over 30 years in senior executive positions on cutting edge projects for BP, most recently with BP Alternative Energy Limited.
Proven, practical experience
It’s hard to match the experience of a management team with such a deep involvement in the technical, commercial and financing aspects of such landmark projects as Peterhead (Scotland), Teeside (England), California (USA), Kwinana (Australia) and Abu Dhabi (UAE). This proven, tangible expertise is now underlined with the addition of CCS TLM’s work on the world-leading Carbon Capture and Demonstration ROAD project in Rotterdam, which is backed by both E.ON Benelux and Electrabel Netherlands (GDF Suez) and planned to be built as part of E.ON’s new 1,100 MW Maasvlakte Power Plant 3.
The entire value chain
CCS TLM’s service covers everything from project start to finish, and beyond. Naturally this includes an in-depth feasibility study and risk assessment and evaluation at the vital first stages of any project. But we apply our expertise across the entire value chain. That includes CO2 capture (pre and post combustion), power generation, CO2 compression and transportation and CO2 injection and storage. Storage sites we have worked with include partially depleted oilfields with potential for Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR), depleted gas fields and saline formations.
The commercial dimension
There are many aspects to viability, not least of which are the commercial issues and implications of a CCS project. CCS TLM’s expertise goes beyond the technical aspects. We cover the commercial arrangements across the board, including power and CO2 take-off, financing and policy needs. The all-embracing nature of this through life service gives clients access to a uniquely comprehensive service, whatever their role or the stage of the project.
